My top priority is to provide the most relaxing and safe environment for my clients. Amid the most recent virus (COVID-19) spreading folks are shying away from public places more and more. But going to the salon should not be a scary thing. I provide a PRIVATE space for each of my clients, booking only ONE client at a time. I also close my door during services providing even more privacy. This may be beneficial for clients who are at greater health risk in a public/group setting (those with underlying chronic medical conditions, pregnant, nursing, elderly, etc)
ALWAYS…..I am taking precautions to keep my clients safe. Not only during a public health scare. But ALWAYS. Not just in the sanitation and disinfection of implements used, or the disposal of single-use items. But I also clean every client surface and chair before and after each client with an appropriate disinfectant. Hands are washed before each service (both clients and tech). The pedicure services I provide utilize a SINGLE use plastic liner that is discarded after each use (your pedicure will ALWAYS be done using a new unused liner). Masks are always available to clients.
But what about illnesses? If I am sick, I will stay home and your appointment will be rescheduled. If a client is sick, I ask that you also stay home and reschedule your appointment. If you have any symptoms stay home. If you have had a fever but have not been fever-free for at least 2-3 days, stay home and reschedule. This is not only to prevent the spread of an illness, but it is also to provide time for the body to heal completely. Bottom line, if you’re not feeling your best and just aren’t sure, be safe and help keep those in your community safe by staying home and rescheduling. And please, if you are experiencing any respiratory symptoms (or have been exposed to anyone with the Coronavirus) please stay home and reschedule.
Let’s face it, amid the most recent virus, COVID-19, folks are more and more concerned about the health and safety of venturing out into public spaces. And personal services are no exception. I want to assure all of my clients, and prospective clients, that I take the health and safety of every person that walks through my door seriously. Always. Not just in a time of greater concern.
