It’s been a couple of years now since I made the switch to being solely online with my products and select services. It’s time to get back into a physical location.
I am currently looking for a new studio to call home. I am looking for that perfect spot that will provide a nice relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space to provide natural nail care services, pedicures, polygel (enhancements with no odor and more gentle on the natural nail), and an aromatherapy bar. This may take a little time as there aren’t many to choose from these days. But I am not in a rush and will make sure it is the perfect spot.
The services I will be offering will be much of the same but paired down a little. There will be a couple of different manicures and pedicures to choose from, as well as a selection of nail art. I am still working out the different natural nail product lines that I will be using once I find that perfect location. Most likely one of the manicure products will be Gelie-Cure (a Zoya brand product). I’ll make a post about that as soon as I have decided. And knowing that some like to have enhancements I will be offering polygel services.
What is polygel? It’s the best of both worlds between acrylic and gel…….it’s just better than both. It is a fairly new hybrid product (it’s been on the market for a few years now) that is a cross between acrylic and hard gel. Basically it has all the strength of acrylic but none of the horrible odor. It has the flexibility of gel. And it is lighter weight than both acrylics and gels. It is applied with a brush just like both acrylic and gel and is cured with a UV/LED light. It does not soak off (so it would need to be filed off for removal). It does require fill-in service every 2-4 weeks just like acrylic and gel. As with both acrylic and gel, polygel can be used to add length or it can be used as just an overlay on top of the natural nail without adding length. It can be sculpted or applied over tips just like acrylic and gel. It can be left plain or polished with regular polish or gel polish. It can also be decorated with nail art. And if you love the ombre look…….you’ll love the ombre look that can be achieved with polygel. Polygel really is the best of both worlds!!!! I hope you’ll give it a try.
